Advanced Factory & Design Lead

Role Overview

Sikorsky Innovations seeks a leader to develop and shape the strategy for next‑generation rotorcraft designs within the Advanced Manufacturing & Future Factory program.

• Develop design and manufacturing methods for automated assembly of major aircraft components.
• Collaborate with operations to design future factories.
• Work with design teams to optimize designs for future factories.

• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in advanced manufacturing, with a proven record of leading large‑scale, highly automated production programs.
• Demonstrated expertise in translating design concepts into manufacturable, cost‑effective components using modern DfM principles.
• Direct experience with aerostructures and dynamic components (e.g., rotor blades, hubs, gearboxes) for rotorcraft platforms.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment and contribute to innovative solution development.
• Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field; a focus on manufacturing, composites, or aerospace structures is preferred.
• US citizenship required (most programs are ITAR restricted).
