Machine Operator - Robot​/Tube Forming

Cleaver-Brooks Canada has an immediate opening for a second shift Machine Operator - Robot/Tube Forming at their Stratford, ON facility. Hours of work are 4:00 pm to 2:00 am Monday through Thursday with possible overtime.

Location: Stratford

Hourly Rate: $31.81 /hr. CAD

• Math
  
  Skills:
  
  Good math skills will help machine operators understand complex instructions, how schematics work and ensure items are designed and built correctly.
• Problem Solving
  
  Skills:
  
  Operators will need to know why machines are not at peak performance, how to increase output and how to fix errors.
• Attention to Detail:
  Operators will work with precision equipment. Millimeter‑level errors could be critical.
• Mechanical and Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Some machines are computer‑controlled and operators will need to work with CAD/CAM technology; others are highly mechanical and require knowledge of their operation.
• Must possess the necessary mechanical aptitude, physical ability and have the skills and knowledge to operate all necessary tools and equipment.
• Stamina:
  Operators must have the physical ability to work long hours doing repetitive movements.
• Analytical
  
  Skills:
  
  Operators will need to read and understand blueprints, schematics, models and other specifications.

• Must have manufacturing experience.
• Preferred experience operating an overhead crane.

• Must be able to lift and carry moderate to heavy weight on a regular basis.
• Moderate to high physical effort required; standing majority of the shift.

• Normal plant, shop, field or office conditions. From time to time, slightly disagreeable features. Negligible or no exposure.
