Follow specifications, drawings, operations sheets, and interpret a broad range of instructions to process main and tail rotor blades for overhaul and repair and production as well as metal finishing and preparing surfaces and spray paint to produce high grade finishes on aircraft rotor blades;
Strip blades of old finish and wash blades subsequent to stripping operations to ensure all paint removal solvents have been eliminated from blade surface;
Operate drying oven to ensure proper drying times for rinsed blades as well as for finish painted blade process;
Assist in the evaluation of paints, equipment and techniques involved in the processing of main and tail rotor blades;
Prepare and apply filler compounds to build up or fill holes, dents, scratches, breaks, joints, or other surface flaws; shape, smooth, and blend filler material to surrounding surface using floats, rasps, sanders, buffers, and other hand or power tools
