Pay:Starting at $22.00 an hour or higher based on experience

Since 1973, Stratford Homes has been a leader in designing and manufacturing highly customized modular homes. We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you'll help ensure materials are received, organized, inventoried, and delivered throughout our manufacturing facility so production stays on schedule.

As a Material Handler, you will:
- Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against purchase orders and receiving documentation.
- Complete incoming inspections and verify certificates of conformance when required.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials are properly stored.
- Organize warehouse inventory and maintain clean, safe storage areas.
- Move materials from receiving to warehouse locations efficiently and safely.
- Deliver materials to production departments and stage materials for assembly.
- Maintain receiving docks, warehouse areas, and material storage locations.
- Assist with waste disposal coordination and general housekeeping.
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
- Basic math and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing or residential construction experience.
- Forklift experience (certification preferred or willingness to become certified).
- Inventory or warehouse organization experience.
This position is performed in a manufacturing environment where employees are regularly exposed to machinery, dust, noise, and changing temperatures. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe boots, is required.
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking throughout the workday.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, lifting, reaching, and climbing.
- Frequently lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Safe operation of forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Good vision, depth perception, and awareness of surroundings.

- Monday-Friday
- 6:00 AM-2:20 PM
- Overtime may be required based on production needs.
