Machining Set Up Mechanic

We are currently seeking Machining Set Up Mechanics for 2nd shift opportunities within our Bridgeport Fittings facilities located in Stratford, CT. Shift: 3:45 pm - 11:45 pm

• Responsible for the set-up of a variety of tapping, threading and automatic assembly equipment.
• Troubleshoot and correct machining problems.
• Maintain and Set-Up all safety equipment and guarding.
• Tooling must be closely monitored in order to keep repair levels at a minimum and to assure that standards are met.
• Some tools requires: snows, single spindles, automatics and threading machines.
• Requirements:
  Standing and changing locations within the department when repairing the machines, bending and twisting as needed.

• High school Diploma/Equivalency

Environment: 100% performed in plant facilities with extensive noise and machinery running While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch;

lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
