The RN practices professional nursing within the legal and ethical framework established by the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act, the American Nurses Association Scope and Standards for Nursing Practice, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the YNHHS Professional Practice Model.
The RN demonstrates leadership, delegation, collaboration, effective communication, and quality outcomes; nurses practice within a framework of autonomy and accountability, employ evidence and data to support practice, and keep the patient and family at the center of care.
