We are seeking several experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technicians to join a growing service team supporting commercial and industrial clients throughout Connecticut.

This role focuses on diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, and startup of commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, chillers, boilers, VAV systems, heat pumps, split systems, and related controls.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on service technician with strong commercial HVAC experience, excellent troubleshooting ability, and a customer-focused mindset. This is a field-based role requiring independent problem-solving, professionalism, and the ability to manage service calls efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems and components

• Perform preventative maintenance, equipment startup, and system inspections

• Service rooftop units (RTUs), boilers, chillers, VAV systems, split systems, and heat pumps

• Troubleshoot HVAC controls, electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical issues

• Perform brazing, soldering, and refrigeration piping work as needed

• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs, recommendations, and system conditions

• Accurately estimate repair time and material requirements

• Complete service reports and required documentation in a timely manner

• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency service calls when required

• Follow all safety procedures, OSHA standards, and local code requirements

Required Experience

• Valid Connecticut HVAC License (S1, S2, D1, or D2)

• 3–5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic experience on commercial systems

• Experience with boilers, chillers, RTUs, controls, and related HVAC equipment

• Knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems is a plus

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10 certification

• Experience with controls, frequency drives, and central plant operations

• Experience in mission-critical or commercial facility environments

• Familiarity with service management software and mobile field technology

• Stable work history in commercial HVAC service
