Encon Heating & AC is seeking a Service HVAC Technician to install, maintain, and repair residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems. In this field-based role, you'll diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform seasonal tune-ups, and optimize system performance for energy-efficient comfort. You'll interact directly with customers, explaining recommendations and ensuring high-quality, code-compliant workmanship. Working within a safety-focused, team-oriented environment, you'll handle a variety of service calls, maintain accurate documentation, and grow your skills alongside experienced HVAC professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and efficiency checks on heating and cooling equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and recommend cost-effective repair solutions
  • Explain findings and options to customers in a clear, professional manner
  • Document work performed, parts used, and system readings accurately
  • Follow safety procedures, codes, and company standards on every job site
  • Collaborate with dispatch and team members to prioritize daily service calls
  • Maintain company tools, service vehicle, and inventory in clean, working order
  • Assist with start-up and commissioning of new or replacement HVAC systems
  • Stay current on energy-efficient technologies, controls, and best practices
