Logistics Coordinator
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for facilitating all Shipping and Receiving functions s position uses various programs, both proprietary and third party, to process shipments for delivery. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the fulfillment and dispatch of all daily bulk packages. The Logistics Coordinator has some administrative and data-entry responsibilities, including reading and responding to emails, document review, and data input into various systems.
This is a dynamic role, which requires a strong understanding of company objectives, and will have a hand in assisting other departments when possible. The Logistics Coordinator works closely with the Logistics Supervisor to ensure all jobs on the daily shipping schedule are accounted for and processed in a timely and efficient manner. This position reports to the Logistics Supervisor.
Functions
- Monitors daily production schedule and actively looks for jobs in production that are complete.
- Reads and understands production schedules to determine priorities and deliver on daily accountabilities.
- Receives purchase orders for materials and services in Pace.
- Monitors and responds to emails from both internal and external partners.
- Fulfills and dispatches all daily bulk packages using UPS and COS software platforms.
- Packs boxes accurately and efficiently in accordance with outlined specifications.
- Reads internal job tickets and understands how to execute specific shipping functions.
- Familiar with different shipping methods and services.
- Is active in assisting other departments when required.
- Works cooperatively with other departments to help achieve manufacturing goals.
- Assists in light handiwork/maintenance/cleaning as needed.
- Performs general housekeeping including general upkeep both in and outside of the facility, trash/waste removal, and general assistance.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid CT driver's license and a clean driving record required.
- A minimum of 1 year of shipping experience is required.
- Experience navigating web browsers and working knowledge of MS Office 2013 Applications including Excel and Word preferred.
- Previous experience with power equipment (forklift, pallet jack) preferred.
- Experience with established shipping software including UPS World Ship and Fed Ex Ship Manager preferred.
- Experience driving commercial vehicles preferred.

- Ability to safely lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to safely push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand on concrete floor for +/-50% of a 12-hour shift
- Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel, twist, and bend freely.
