Apogee's Architectural Metals division seeks a skilled Assembly I Technician to operate and maintain assembly line stations. The role involves assembling, aligning, and adjusting fabricated parts to meet specifications.
Job OverviewOperations and maintenance of assembly line stations, assembly, alignment, adjustment of fabricated parts according to specifications and manufacturing procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly line equipment to assemble units.
- Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure components meet tolerances and product specifications.
- Repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels.
- Perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail and consistency.
- Cross‑train and support all Assembly I roles as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
- Proficient with hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
- Ability to follow blueprints.
- Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Basic computer proficiency (data entry).
