PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Operates mill equipment to include mixing, processing, loading and transporting feed and other products to customers and other facilities as directed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for the manufacturing and handling of all feeds, ensuring proper sequencing of products to produce the correct feeds.
Assists with inventory and records of all feeds.
Protects product from damage.
Maintains proper inventory paperwork at the facility for deliveries and completes physical inventories as required .
Monitors inventory for current seasonal and daily needs.
Maintains a record of each batch of feed produced to document a quality manufacturing program.
Maintains record s of all medicated feed additives as required by state law.
Responsible for keeping the Branch Manager informed of the need for major building and equipment repairs as well as recommendations for annual fixed asset purchases.
Responsible for location housekeeping.
Responsible for safe use of tools and equipment and appropriateuse of personal protective equipment byallemployees at the locationandreporting unsafe conditions to the Location Manager.
Responsible for delivery of products to customers.
Schedules all major equipment repairs.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety , OSHA and DOT policies and procedures , as they apply .
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires High School diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 3 years or more of related work experience .
Must be able to obtain and maintain fo rklift operation certification and Commercial Driver’s License .
Hazmat & Tanker endorsements and Mixer Loader Pestici de Certified & License are preferred .
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Normally requires aCommercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Continuously exposed or required to:
Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
May be required to work at varying heights
Lift 51-70lbs
Required to push heavy objects
Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
Ability to travel independently and overnight.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
