Cool Sys is seeking a Foreman to lead field crews within our HVAC Wholesale Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management team. In this role, you will coordinate installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC-R systems and related assets for retail, commercial, and industrial customers. You will plan daily tasks, allocate labor and materials, enforce safety standards, and ensure work quality, documentation, and schedule adherence.
You will mentor technicians, interface with customers, and support continuous improvement in efficiency, reliability, and energy performance across projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise HVAC/R field crews on installation, maintenance, and repair projects
- Plan daily work, allocate labor, equipment, and materials to meet schedules
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, codes, and company standards
- Inspect work quality and perform final checks on completed tasks
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and asset management teams
- Train, coach, and mentor technicians and helpers on technical tasks and safety
- Maintain accurate project documentation, time logs, and material usage records
- Troubleshoot complex HVAC/R and refrigeration issues and guide resolutions
- Communicate with customers on project status, expectations, and site conditions
- Support continuous improvement in efficiency, reliability, and energy performance
Required Skills
- Commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems
- Blueprint and schematic reading
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- HVAC/R installation and startup
- Preventive and predictive maintenance
- Refrigeration systems and controls
- Crew supervision and scheduling
- Safety compliance (OSHA)
- Basic PLC and controls familiarity
- Work order and asset management software
