Overview

The Labor Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily temporary employees. This position supports the HR team on the labor personnel side by acting as the liaison between staffing agencies and the company, the liaison between temporary employees and department managers. The Labor Coordinator is the first point of contact for temporary and full-time employees. Other functions will apply.

Monday-Saturday (Rotating Saturday's) 10am-8:30pm

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate and oversee the daily temporary employees and assign temps to a line/area/position for the day, set up new temps with equipment, train on GMP process, and other.
  • Communicate with the staffing agencies and leadership via email
  • Work closely with staffing agencies to maintain labor efficiency within staffing budget and meet production goals
  • Manage the "call out" line and record all call offs
  • Communicate with management and leadership on a regular basis to report daily employee call offs, objectives, and transfer request
  • Run and send out daily reports such as: punch detail report, headcount report, staffing level reports, and other reports pertaining to temporary staff
  • Walk the production floor to take headcount of temporary employees and verify the positions working each day
  • Log hours worked for temporary employees and update Attendance Point Tracker per call offs
  • Assist in invoice verification from staffing agencies
  • Assist with budget maintenance tasks to ensure the temporary employees' budget is under control
  • Ability to understand, follow, and enforce company policies such as: GMPs, SOPs, safety, and other policies.
  • Perform training as needed
  • Assist with issues related to temporary employees such as: transfer requests, conversions, and complaints
  • Attend daily production meeting and other meetings as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in manufacturing or a warehouse setting preferred, but not necessary
  • Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook
  • High level initiative and follow through
  • Detail oriented and great communication skills
  • Available to work Monday - Saturday
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish is required
