Job Responsibilities
- Perform critical activities within site ECN workflows to correctly source new purchased components from approved suppliers.
- Prepare and distribute RFQs, analyze quotes, select best total cost suppliers, and set up new parts in site ERP systems.
- Participate in identification, qualification, and development of new production suppliers.
- Participate in supplier meetings and occasional on-site supplier visits; limited overnight travel required.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute project plans under the direction of the SBM’s for implementation of on‑boarding new suppliers, resourcing parts, or other objectives, in close cooperation with plant Buyers/Planners.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with ESG Buyers/Planners, Engineering, Accounting, and suppliers; work effectively in teams as well as individually.
- Be comfortable taking directions from the SBM’s while also being self‑directed for certain objectives.
- Participate in supplier problem solving.
- Be fluent with contract terms and conditions and able to negotiate away unfavorable terms.
- Perform other duties, assignments and special projects as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or related field required.
- 5-7 years’ supply chain experience, preferably in manufacturing environments.
- Ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and represent the Company effectively and professionally in dealings with suppliers.
- Proficient with MS Office programs and ERP/MRP system experience required; specific experience with JDE/Oracle, Syteline, and Epicor systems preferred.
- Ability to work easily with people at all levels of the organization and establish collaborative relationships with peers.
- Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making, analytical, negotiating, follow‑through, and accuracy skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Salary Range: $75-90k
