The Circuit Breaker Test Assembler is responsible for configuring, testing, and maintaining electrical breaker systems to ensure safe and reliable operation of power distribution networks. This role supports engineering, maintenance, and operations teams by ensuring all circuit breakers are properly calibrated, documented, and compliant with safety standards.
Responsibilities- Configure and set up circuit breakers according to engineering specifications and operational requirements
- Perform calibration and adjustment of breaker protection settings (trip curves, overload protection, fault settings, etc.)
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Conduct testing and verification of breaker performance and functionality
- Troubleshoot and resolve configuration or operational issues in breaker systems
- Maintain accurate records of configurations, test results, and system changes
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations (e.g., NEC, OSHA, IEEE)
- Support installation, maintenance, and commissioning of electrical distribution systems
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project managers on system upgrades and improvements
