S.A.F.E. provides a family-focused environment where care is delivered with respect, compassion, and professionalism.

The Mental Health Therapist is responsible for providing individual, couple, and family therapy to clients across a range of mental health needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting biopsychosocial assessments, developing and updating individualized treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic sessions that align with best practices and organizational standards. The therapist will collaborate with other care providers for case management, coordinate referrals to community resources, and document all clinical activities in a timely and accurate manner.

The role also involves monitoring client progress, engaging families and support systems when appropriate, participating in team meetings, and contributing to a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed environment.

• Demonstrated expertise in Mental Health and Family Therapy, with the ability to provide evidence-informed counseling to individuals and families.
• Skills in Treatment Planning and Case Management, including assessment, goal setting, care coordination, and progress evaluation.
• Background in Social Work or a related helping profession, with experience linking clients to appropriate community and social support services.
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field; appropriate state licensure or license eligibility (e.g., LISW, LPC, LPCC, LMFT) in Ohio.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build rapport, maintain professional boundaries, and work effectively on interdisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to ethical practice, cultural humility, and non-discriminatory care for clients of diverse backgrounds and identities.
• Ability to manage a clinical caseload, maintain accurate documentation, and use electronic health record systems or clinical software.
