The Temporary Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of Gebhardt’s human resources department.
Temporary PositionThis is a temporary, full-time position intended to provide HR department support for a defined period. The position is expected to work on the company's normal full-time schedule and may have the potential for extension based on business needs and performance.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files, personnel records & documentation.
- Provides clerical and administrative support for the HR department.
- Provide weekly/monthly reports to the appropriate departments.
- Assists with the planning & execution of special events such as employee meetings, open enrollment, monthly luncheons, etc.
- Assists with the recruitment & onboarding of new employees.
- Assist in all HR related projects, some of which include FMLA administration, employee wellness, monthly service awards, company communications, etc.
- Handle employee requests dealing with HR issues and policies.
- Promote safety awareness to all employees.
- All other responsibilities assigned by management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resources information system (HRIS) and similar computer applications.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- At least 1 year of experience as an HR assistant or relevant HR/administrative position required.
- Familiarity with HRIS software.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
