Systems Analyst Administrator

Systems Analyst/Administrator Responsibilities

• Installation, configuration and migration of Unix and Linux operating systems
• Support operating system cloning using System Imager
• Create Golden client and copy its image at the system image server
• Install new operating systems using the Golden client image
• Support installation of packages and patches
• Rescan storages on newly installed servers
• Work with the application team to start applications and resolve any issues
• Support troubleshooting of networking issues after migration
• Install, configure and remediate various security software
• Write Shell and Perl scripts for automation of jobs
• Perform migration and troubleshooting of Veritas Cluster
• Support disk and file system management through Logical Volume Manager—including GFS (Global File System)
• Analyze user requirements
• Propose alternative solutions for setting up and maintaining local area networks
• Install, configure and support Redhat Satellite Servers
• Oversee Redhat Satellite Server for upgrading and patching Linux servers
• Manage user accounts for team access to Redhat Satellite Servers
• Build channels and push packages to the master Redhat Satellite Server
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and configuration problems for various protocols and topologies
• Utilize Veritas File System, Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas Cluster Server, Oracle, DB2, UDB, Redhat Satellite Server, Linux, Blade Server, AIX, Solaris, and SUN Enterprise to perform assigned duties
• Analyze, review, and alter existing network to increase operational efficiency or adapt to new requirements
• Support and administer various network infrastructure components to ensure uptime and reliability
• Perform routine administrative tasks, such as troubleshooting and correcting problems in the existing network
• Oversee processes to ensure product release, applications, and corporate block point cycles are synchronized

Location:

Streetsboro, Ohio and multiple undetermined worksites throughout the United States.

Salary: $98,883 per year.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field of study (equivalent foreign degree accepted).
• Training:
  None.
• Experience:
  
  Five (5) years in the position above or in a related occupation.
• Other Requirements:
  Experience must include use of Veritas File System, Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas Cluster Server, Oracle, DB2, UDB, Redhat Satellite Server, Linux, Blade Server, AIX, Solaris, and SUN Enterprise. A suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience will also be accepted.
