Receiving: Material Handler 1st Shift

Responsibilities

• Unloading and inspecting incoming materials for damage or discrepancies, verifying against purchase orders.
• Storing materials in designated areas, ensuring proper inventory rotation to prevent damage and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Moving materials using equipment like forklifts or electric pallet jacks ensuring safe and efficient transport.
• Maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials, participating in cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Identifying and reporting any quality issues with materials, assisting in quality checks and troubleshooting.
• Following all safety procedures and guidelines, using personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensuring a safe work environment.
• Communicating with other departments, such as production, shipping, and receiving, to ensure timely and accurate material flow.

• Experience with material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, and to follow written and verbal directions.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management.
