Job Description

A large manufacturing company is seeking a CNC Vertical Mill Machinist to join our team. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. with overtime available.

Job Duties:

Set up and operate CNC vertical machining centers to machine large metal components
Load raw material and fixtures using overhead crane or lifting equipment
Read blueprints and program or edit CNC programs as needed
Perform drilling, milling, boring, and tapping operations
Verify part dimensions using precision measuring tools
Adjust offsets, tooling, and machine parameters to maintain tolerances
Perform routine maintenance and tooling changes
Ensure parts meet quality standards before moving to next operation
Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications:

Must have previous experience setting up and operating CNC Vertical Mills Machines;
Fanuc or similar controls knowledge is preferred
Experience machining large parts or heavy plate is a plus
Must have the ability to read prints and understand GD&T basics
Must be able to pay a high attention to detail along with strong problem-solving skills
