Job Description

Shift: Night - 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM Rotating Shift Schedule

Shift Premium Amount: $2.00

Pay Rate: $27.00

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Performs trouble shooting, calibration, and repair of production equipment as needed to always keep lines operational.

* Performs scheduled preventative maintenance to identify and replace failed components such as bearings, belts, motors, etc.

* Can read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, schematics, blueprints, and work orders to perform required maintenance.

* Dismantles/disassembles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, using specifications and/or blueprints, precision measuring instruments, and hand tools.

* Calibrations and adjustments on various types of devices and production control systems.

* Understands facilities, mechanical/electrical systems and their component functions and relationships; and is competent in their troubleshooting and repair

* Assists other maintenance and production team members as required in support of plant goals.

* Equipment selection - able to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to perform the work.

Qualifications

* HS Diploma or equivalent

* 1-3 years of experience in a maintenance or trade skills role

* Knowledge of at least 5/10 of the following skills: electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyers, hydraulics, and pumps.

* Able to interface and cooperate well with production line workers and supervisors, with a strong customer service mindset.

* Basic math, reading, and computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel, Outlook)

* Ability to solve problems and apply critical thinking.

* Able to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team.

* Knowledge of manufacturing safety programs (PPE, LOTO, Arc Flash)

* Experience with plastic production equipment a plus.

* Ability to operate cranes, forklift, and other related equipment preferred.

* Experience with 240V electrical systems preferred.

Physical Requirements:

* Frequent standing, walking, and bending.

* Pushing, pulling, lifting at least 50lbs.

* Eye/hand coordination.
