Job Description

Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift (15 Days a Month)

Responsibilities
  • Provide coaching, support, training and direction to a team of Maintenance Technicians.
  • Act as the point of contact for plant personnel for day‑to‑day maintenance issues.
  • Verify planned maintenance (PM) is completed properly.
  • Conduct shift turnover communication to the Group Lead and other Team Leads.
  • Maintain maintenance work area and tools in a clean, orderly manner.
  • Complete preventative maintenance checks and use computer software to enter, update and close work orders.
  • Order replacement parts and equipment as needed.
  • Complete various paperwork, including front‑line leader daily checklists in the Group Lead’s absence.
  • Troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines and accessory support equipment, directing the team in making repairs.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair, including replacement of belts, pulleys, cables, chains, bearings, gears and related equipment.
  • Rebuild plant machinery and equipment and verify cleaning of machine and surrounding area after repairs.
  • Diagnose problems in machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
  • Apply knowledge of relays, motor contractors, motor starters, solid‑state relays, soft starts and variable‑frequency drives.
  • Operate and troubleshoot PLCs.
  • Read, interpret and troubleshoot using schematic diagrams, equipment manuals, and work orders.
