General Labor Team Member
A manufacturing company is seeking an individual to join our General Labor Team who will support daily manufacturing operations by performing a variety of hands-on tasks including basic assembly, grinding, deburring, slag removal, kitting, and material handling. In addition, you will prepare fabricated metal parts for welding, finishing, and final assembly. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Job DutiesGrind, sand, and smooth metal surfaces to remove burrs, sharp edges, slag, weld spatter, and imperfections
Use hand grinders, sanders, and pneumatic tools to finish parts and inspect parts to ensure they meet dimensional and finish standards
Assist with simple mechanical assembly using hand and power tools
Read and follow work instructions, tags, and basic drawings
Pick and prepare kits for welding and assembly based on production orders
Load and unload parts, assist with staging for fabrication or welding
Maintain clean work area and follow all plant safety rules
Perform other duties as assigned
