2nd Shift Mechanical Assembler

Shift: Monday-Thursday 2:00 pm to 12:30 am, ½ hour unpaid lunch, 2 paid breaks

Pay: $20-$22 per hour

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for the assembly of fabricated and electrical components, subassemblies, and enclosures. This position requires an individual with mechanical and technical skills who is detail-oriented, team-focused, and possesses dexterity. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, reliable attendance, and respect for others.

Qualifications:
  • Mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment or transferrable mechanical experience.
  • Ability to read assembly drawings and follow directions.
  • Skilled in using hand tools and wire crimpers.
  • Ability to handle intricate parts with precision.
  • Must have reliable attendance.
  • Must be able to lift and handle parts up to 30 lbs.
  • Able to stand for extended periods (up to the entire 8-hour shift).
  • Ability to bend, squat, kneel, or climb a stepladder while working.
  • Ability to reach above and forward at least 18 inches.
  • Hand dexterity is required for installing small hardware.
  • Good vision for inspecting parts and assemblies.
Responsibilities:
  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components, subassemblies, and enclosures per work orders, diagrams, wire lists, and verbal directions.
  • Prepare, position, assemble, and verify parts to ensure product accuracy and quality.
  • Fabricate and install flexibar as needed.
  • Install larger power wires, including retrieving, crimp lugging, and heat sleeve shrinking.
  • Inspect parts, materials, and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Communicate and document tasks with supervision as required.
  • Become familiar with interpreting 3-D solid model viewers.
