Shipping & Final Inspection Technician - 3rd Shift

Press Operator and Machine Operator

Salary: $19.00 - $21.00 / Hour

• Operate forge press as part of a 3 to 4-person team.
• Set-up and operate forge press, trim press and required support equipment and processes.
• Clean, organize and maintain work area(s).
• Use work instructions and set‑up sheets.
• Follow printed work schedule for work tasks.
• Clean work areas, pick up rags, hangers, clothing or other items out of place.
• Communicate verbally with next shift janitor to share status of supplies.
• Put shared supplies back in place.
• Measure process performance using common gages, surface plates, measurement instruments and CMM.
• Record data and process necessary documentation.
• Communicate to the press line and supervisors.
• Assist supervision in troubleshooting processes.
• Ensure parts are cleaned, packaged and inspected properly.
• Ensure parts are properly staged by weight and/or piece count.
• Load and unload freight carriers.
• Operate shot blast equipment.
• Set-up, operate, perform quality control and light maintenance of production saw and shear machinery.
• Receive, inspect, catalogue and transport bundled engineered bar and cut billets used in the forging process.
• Housekeep the work area and shop floor.
• Clean die components.
• Assemble and disassemble die components.
• Perform in‑house die repairs and replacements.
