Job Title
Shift: D Shift - 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM Rotating Shift Schedule Shift Premium Amount: $2.00 Pay Rate: $22.00
Role PurposePerform duties involved in complicated setups, adjustments, and operation of thermoplastic extruding machinery and related equipment to form film or tubes to meet quality and production requirements. In addition, help direct & train activities of B Operator.
Principal Accountabilities• Work from assigned schedule, work orders, perform and make decisions as the sequence of setups and processes within recognized methods and procedures.
• Obtain work instruction and follow prescribed procedures to set or monitor a limited number of barrel augur, extruder, and related forming/winding controls, such as pressure, speed, tension, and heat.
• Move, position nip rollers, rewind shafts, and razor cut devices as required for proper operation.
• Operate equipment or monitor continuing operations to maintain proper flow of raw and scrap film material and forming, cutting, and rewind operations.
• Remove completed work; make simple tolerance and/or measurement checks when required.
• Arrange scrap recovery rolls or cart in proper feed manner.
• Advice proper supervision of malfunctions resulting in defective work: film discoloration, wrinkles, splits, or other related problems.
• Occasionally perform or assist fairly complicated setup, other machine or related equipment repair, or maintenance duties as instructed.
• Detect and report defective, contaminated material, unusual conditions, or faulty equipment to proper supervision.
• Record time or production information required on proper form.
• Maintain work and storage areas, machinery, and related equipment used in a clean and orderly condition.
• Use hand tools, such as rubber hammer, wrenches, screwdriver, pliers, measuring and weigh scale, and bench micrometer.
• Operate powered lift truck and use step ladder.
• Observe all prescribed or standard safety rules and regulations.
• Perform other similar or related duties as assigned or directed.
- Prior Extrusion experience preferred
- Computer proficiency
- 1 Year of relative manufacturing experience
- Demonstrate good attendance, reliable
- Proven safe work habits
- Proven quality oriented
- Demonstrated good performance in current role
- High school diploma or equivalent
