Job Description
Soft Lite Windows & Doors, is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to support our high-volume manufacturing operations in Streetsboro, Ohio. This is an on-site, full time position.
Pay Range: $29.00‑$37.00 per hour
This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum uptime, safety, and operational efficiency

This is a hands‑on technical role requiring strong diagnostic capabilities, the ability to work independently as well as with a team, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Advanced Equipment Troubleshooting- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on manufacturing equipment.
- Trouble‑shoot PC/PLC controlled equipment, sensors, drives, and automated systems.
- Utilize schematics and technical documentation to identify root causes of failures.
- Respond quickly to production downtime to minimize operational disruptions.
- Communicate with OEM technical support to speed up equipment repair.
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment including welders, cutting systems, conveyors, and automated assembly equipment.
- Identify early signs of equipment wear and proactively address potential failures.
- Develop PM procedures and schedules for critical machinery.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Ensure equipment repairs meet safety and operational standards.
- Support lockout/tagout procedures and safe maintenance practices.
- Partner with production supervisors, engineers, and leadership to resolve equipment challenges.
- Contribute ideas that enhance safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, or in field set‑up and/or service of computer‑controlled equipment.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Computer/PLC troubleshooting
- Industrial electronic systems
- Pneumatic systems
- Mechanical systems and machine repair
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams
- Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment
- Excellent diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team within a fast‑paced production environment
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CMMS maintenance systems
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures
