Sr. Software Developer

Location:

Streetsboro, Ohio and multiple undetermined worksites throughout the US;

Salary: $98,883 per year

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education
  - Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree)
• Training
  - None
• Experience
  - Five (5) years in the position above, as an Applications Developer, as an Application Developer, as an Associate, as a Software Engineer, as a Systems Engineer, or in a related occupation.
• Other Requirements – Experience must include use of Web Sphere Commerce including order subsystem, catalog subsystem, member subsystem and commerce accelerator; use of Rational Application Developer (RAD), Java, J2ee, XML, Linux, SQL and Oracle. Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.

Responsible for the analysis, design, coding, and database and interface development of various software applications using IBM Web Sphere Commerce, Java and J2ee; interact with business users to gather requirements; analyze user needs to determine feasibility of software design within time and cost restraints; support user interaction, defining data flow views and mini specs; support the development of structure charts, technical specification for program development, preparation of test data, and testing the developed on-line programs and backend programs with test data;

support the design, development, customization, and implementation of various software applications; analyze various system requirements, data flow charts, design, and development of various modules of software applications; involved in systems analysis, database design, handling the data in the database, coding and testing of various software applications; develop complete technical design of applications and modules using Web Sphere Commerce including order subsystem, catalog subsystem, member subsystem, commerce accelerator, SEO configuration, Data Load, Calculation Framework and Web Services;

support coding, debugging and testing of programs using Java, J2ee, JSP, JNDI, JMS, EJB, XML, IBM Web Sphere Commerce, Rational Application Developer (RAD), Unix, Linux, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, SQL, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, Oracle, and Teamsite; conduct studies pertaining to development of new information systems to meet current and projected needs; support quality software development and provide documentation to application development staff and customers with result information obtained from the research and development efforts;

implement the scale down prototype initiation; incorporate the intelligence for system and application upgrades, with ability to foresee and effectively handle troubleshooting code; perform unit testing of the transactions in Java, J2ee, JUnit, XML, IBM Web Sphere Commerce, Unix, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery, Spring and Hibernate Environment; develop program specifications for Open Interface and Oracle & IBM programs; maintain code in repository using version control system;

participate in delivery planning and provide time estimates to project management team; coordinate with programmers, database administrators and quality assurance team and other business personnel to meet project milestones and to solve critical issues; deploy code in dev and test environment and provide detailed instructions to deploy in product environment.
