Job Description

Responsible for effective employee relations and labor relations program management and solutions across assigned site(s) or regions. Supports the consistent implementation and execution of the Company's Employee & Labor Relations strategy, programs, and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Devise and implement effective employee and labor relations strategies for site(s) as assigned.
  • Identify and implement progressive employee and labor relations solutions that support business objectives and enhance the associate experience.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with associates, management teams, and union leadership, where applicable.
  • Partner with Operations and Human Resources leadership to develop and implement employee and labor relations solutions.
  • Manage and administer the Company's Employee & Labor Relations policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Proactively identify leadership development opportunities and facilitate training focused on employee and labor relations competencies.
  • Provide reporting, analytics, and trend analysis to monitor employee and labor relations climates and identify meaningful metrics that drive service delivery and operational effectiveness.
  • Analyze and interpret complex employee data to develop solutions for employee and labor relations matters impacting operations.
  • Conduct thorough, objective, and compliant employee and labor relations investigations.
  • Provide guidance and support to management regarding performance management, corrective action, workplace conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and associate concerns.
  • Empower managers through coaching, consultation, and education on employee and labor relations best practices.
  • Assist with union campaigns and education related to labor organizing activities, as applicable.
  • Support grievance administration, arbitration preparation, and labor relations processes as assigned.
  • Assist with collective bargaining agreement implementation and interpretation, where applicable.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Operations, Shared Services, Legal, and Compliance teams to deliver effective employee and labor relations solutions.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate resolution of employee complaints, workplace concerns, and escalated associate issues.
  • Support Human Rights compliance processes and workplace investigations.
  • Develop and maintain employee and labor relations resources, training materials, case documentation, and reporting tools.
  • Lead and participate in Employee & Labor Relations projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, or related field, preferred.
  • 7-10 years of Human Resources experience with significant emphasis on Employee Relations and/or Labor Relations, required.
  • Previous experience handling complex employee relations investigations and workplace conflict resolution, required.
  • Labor relations, collective bargaining, grievance management, or union campaign experience, preferred.
  • 5-7 years of HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience, preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and influence all levels of the organization, including hourly associates and senior leadership, required.
  • Experience providing guidance and consultation on employee and labor relations matters, required.
  • Experience analyzing workforce data, trends, and metrics to develop actionable business solutions, preferred.
