About the RoleWe are looking for a proactive and highly technical Webmaster Team Lead to help lead the technical strategy and management of our B2B Word Press website portfolio. This is a high-impact "player-coach" role for a candidate who is comfortable serving as the ultimate technical authority of the team while remaining deeply hands-on in the codebase.
You will own the health of our mid- to large-scale digital properties, ensuring they are performant, secure, and built to scale. As the lead technical resource, you will define site architecture and govern best practices while personally executing complex development tasks, refactoring code, and managing our Word Press ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities- Work with Marketing to plan and implement new site features and functionality
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve website performance issues
- Debug and resolve issues related to content, links, user flows, and transactions
- Maintain website security and perform updates to minimize vulnerabilities
- Manage and deploy site updates while minimizing downtime
- Optimize content based on SEO best practices in collaboration with SEO specialists
- Test websites for usability, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility
- Maintain and optimize virtual and cloud-based hosting environments
- Contribute ideas to improve site functionality, UX, and performance
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver solutions aligned with company goals
- Create and update page layouts and site content
- Lead and coordinate work with outsourced web development resources
- Manage backup systems, redundancy, and failover processes
- Gather and analyze business and technical requirements
- Create and adhere to SOPs, testing plans, CI/CD processes, WCAG.ADA compliance standards, data privacy, and templates to maintain efficiencies and standards
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5+ years of experience in a Webmaster or similar role
- Proven experience managing and maintaining B2B product or e-commerce websites
- Agency experience strongly preferred
- Background in software or technology industries preferred
- Strong ability to manage multiple websites simultaneously
- To align and collaborate with existing web team that includes both a webmaster and UX/UI specialist
- Ability to work across multi-departments – Marketing, IT, Security, Sales, Training and Customer Service
- Proficiency in web technologies:
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP - Experience with CMS platforms, particularly Word Press
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools (Salesforce, Pardot, etc.)
- Experience with website performance optimization and hosting environments
- Strategic and critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, especially when explaining complex or abstract concepts
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership
- Ownership mindset with a passion for improving site architecture and performance
- Front-end development and/or graphic design experience is a plus
