Position Overview

As a Release Manager within PNC's CI&B organization, you will be based in Strongsville, OH or Pittsburgh, PA. You will lead and coordinate high‑risk or complex releases across multiple applications and teams within C&IB. Your role includes driving release planning, scheduling, and execution across C&IB domains, presenting upcoming release activity, risks, and validation steps to executive leaders, serving as a floating RM within C&IB assigned dynamically based on risk, scale, and gaps, ensuring ITSM processes meet enterprise standards and quality expectations, stepping in on expedited, failed, or at‑risk changes to stabilize delivery, providing hands‑on support to director teams lacking RM coverage or maturity, identifying and enforcing process improvements, and acting as a cross‑portfolio quality control layer, not tied to a single application.

Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple aspects of technology releases, ensuring coordinated integration of applications and systems.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert while partnering with various teams to build release schedules and project plans/milestones.
  • Lead the build and maintenance of the infrastructure for configuration and release management for new or enhanced application systems.
  • Lead the quality check on change releases to ensure processes follow enterprise standards, guidelines and best practices.
  • Create and maintain deployment plan success guides within segments and projects ahead of release execution.
  • Oversee configuration management procedures and processes.
  • Consult and collaborate with peers to provide oversight and ensure proper use of tools, methods and schedules to enable compliance with the change management process.
  • Execute change management processes appropriately.
  • Document release management process improvement opportunities and ensure proper escalation.
  • Mentor and train others on release coordination, deployment, and overall best practices.
Qualifications
  • Preferred

  • Competencies:

  • Work Experience:

    University/college degree with 5+ years of industry‑relevant experience; in lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job‑specific certification(s), and experience may be considered.
  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree.
  • Certifications:

    None required.
Salary

Base Salary: $87,500.00 – $ (varies by location, market data, skills, experience). This role is incentive eligible based on company, business, and/or individual performance.
