Role DescriptionThe Line Operator is a full-time, on-site role based at our Strongsville, OH facility. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring production line machinery, setting up equipment, and performing routine adjustments to maintain efficient output. Day-to-day tasks include feeding materials into machines, inspecting parts for defects, performing basic maintenance checks, and following established safety and quality procedures. The Line Operator documents production data, reports issues to supervisors, and collaborates with team members to meet production targets.
The role also involves learning new processes, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Candidates should possess skills in machine operation and basic mechanical aptitude to safely run and adjust production equipment.
- Candidates should possess skills in quality control, including visual inspection and adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Candidates should possess strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with supervisors and coworkers on production goals and issues.
- Candidates should possess computer literacy skills for recording production data, using basic software, and following digital work instructions.
- Candidates should possess training and learning capabilities, including the ability to follow procedures and acquire new skills through on-the-job instruction.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to workplace safety are essential.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or plastics production is preferred but not required; high school diploma or equivalent is beneficial.
