What is a Industrial Sandblaster/Painter?The Industrial Sandblaster/Painter performs a variety of spray painting and sandblasting operations on the assigned product lines. This is a first shift position with hours on Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm.
What We’re Looking ForThe ideal candidate will be computer literate and one year industrial related painting / sandblasting experience preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities- One year industrial related painting / sandblasting experience preferred.
- Industrial and marine coatings experience using zinc, epoxy's and/or polyurethanes preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications helpful.
- Computer literate preferred.
- Ability to handle non-routine, standard projects and tasks.
- Able to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in Standard English.
- Must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, using proper lifting techniques or other available resources such as lifting or moving equipment or help from another employee.
- Specific vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly required to walk or stand, bend or twist, climb, reach with hands or arms.
- Must be medically approved to wear respirator protection, which may include being required to be clean-shaven for tight-fitting respirator use.
- Exposure to paint fumes and dust within industrial size paint/sand booth.
- Overtime required at periodic intervals to respond to project deadlines.
