• Guide daily operations and contribute to staffing and scheduling.
• Participate in interviews and hiring decisions.
• Address performance concerns and administer corrective actions when appropriate.
• Ensure continuity of patient care information between shifts.
• Review major operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers.
• Provide ongoing clinical evaluations of nurses and other patient care providers.
• Counsel employees on performance issues and monitor attendance.
• Alert nurse manager of significant clinical or performance issues.
• Prepare schedule of work assignments assuring adequate coverage.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and support research initiatives.

Education:

• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Experience:

• 2+ years of recent clinical nurse experience required
• Experience as an RN in the operating room preferred

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within first year of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within one year of beginning work in the ASC
