• Provide clinical nursing in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).
• Assess patient care needs and plan the delivery of care.
• Process patients through the ASC.
• Direct other caregivers in providing patient care.
• Assume charge responsibilities and resolve problems.
• Develop educational materials and provide health education to patients and families.
• Maintain nursing competencies.
• Participate in preparing staff development programs.
• Identify self-learning needs and establish goals.
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding patients, families, and caregivers.

Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing (Diploma, ADN, BSN program)

Experience: 1 year of clinical experience as an RN in a perioperative or critical care setting OR 3 years as a Surgical Technician

Licenses &

Certifications:

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN);
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required;
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire;
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required if caring for a pediatric population.
