The Key Sales Associate is a part-time, on-site role located in Strongsville, OH, responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience in a retail jewelry environment. Day-to-day tasks include greeting and engaging customers, understanding their needs, and recommending jewelry and related products that align with their preferences and budget. This role supports sales targets through product demonstrations, accurate handling of transactions, and use of store systems and financing options.
The Key Sales Associate helps maintain merchandise displays, store cleanliness, and secure handling of inventory, while following company policies and procedures. The position also involves participating in promotions, learning about product features and benefits, and collaborating with team members to ensure a welcoming, inclusive store environment.
- Customer service and retail sales skills, including active listening, relationship building, and a consultative selling approach.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain product details clearly and interact respectfully with diverse customers and team members.
- Basic math and point-of-sale skills, including handling cash, processing payments, and working accurately with store technology.
- Organization and attention to detail for maintaining displays, safeguarding merchandise, and following store procedures.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move around the store to assist customers and manage tasks safely.
- Prior retail or sales experience is preferred, especially in jewelry or luxury goods, but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; commitment to ongoing learning about products, services, and company policies is expected.
