As the Commercial Sales Territory Manager (CTSM) you will increase sales growth and manage customer relationships within a designated territory, focusing on commercial refinish products, including fleet and industrial coatings. Reporting directly to the manager of sales, you will cover the South Carolina region. You will oversee direct accounts and distributor networks to expand PPG's market share through strategic sales plans, technical expertise, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive territory business plans targeting fleet and industrial markets.
- Grow sales across both direct and distributor accounts.
- Establish and maintain relationships with distributors, providing training and support to enhance their performance.
- Identify, prospect, and convert new leads within both sales channels.
- Collaborate with sales teams and leadership to align strategies and achieve sales targets.
- Lead joint customer visits and conduct opportunity reviews alongside distributors.
- Deliver product presentations, conduct training sessions, and help use digital sales tools.
- Use CRM systems to manage sales activities.
- Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to inform and adjust sales strategies.
- Manage expenses responsibly while upholding ethical, customer-focused sales practices.
- Mentor junior sales staff and promote a collaborative team environment.
- Travel up to 50% to support our goals.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience in commercial coatings sales.
- Technical knowledge of industrial coatings and application processes.
- Experience in sales, negotiation, and relationship management.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
