As a Residential HVAC Field Technician, you will serve as a primary point of contact for homeowners, ensuring their heating and cooling systems operate at peak efficiency. You will leverage your technical expertise to diagnose complex issues, perform preventative maintenance, and deliver high-quality repairs that restore comfort and peace of mind to our clients.
About the RoleAs a Residential HVAC Field Technician, you will serve as a primary point of contact for homeowners, ensuring their heating and cooling systems operate at peak efficiency. You will leverage your technical expertise to diagnose complex issues, perform preventative maintenance, and deliver high-quality repairs that restore comfort and peace of mind to our clients.
Responsibilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Execute comprehensive system inspections and preventative maintenance to prevent future equipment failure.
- Manage the full lifecycle of service calls, from initial dispatch and parts procurement to final documentation and customer debriefing.
- Perform precise system start-ups, testing, and calibration to verify equipment meets manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked service vehicle to ensure readiness for daily field operations.
- Provide clear, professional communication to homeowners regarding system status, repair options, and maintenance recommendations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards while working in residential environments, ensuring a respectful and tidy workspace.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience in residential HVAC service.
- Current EPA Certification and proficiency in soldering and brazing techniques.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Basic computer literacy for digital documentation and service reporting.
- Strong verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Completion of an accredited HVAC trade school program.
- Advanced knowledge of residential electrical and mechanical HVAC systems.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced, mobile service environment.
