Position Overview

Software Engineering Manager – Data and Automation Technology, PNC. Lead a team of engineers in Cleveland, Strongsville, or Pittsburgh, ensuring predictable delivery and operational excellence across multiple product lines.

• Manage a group of software engineers, driving delivery speed while maintaining quality and risk controls.
• Own full SDLC execution: requirements alignment, design, build, test, release, and support.
• Establish and continuously improve engineering practices to enhance code quality, reduce defects, and increase reliability through peer review, automated testing, and CI/CD health.
• Guide teams on modern Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, git workflows, branching strategies, and release readiness.
• Lead solution architecture and design decisions, communicating trade-offs to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Oversee development projects, application support functions, and compliance with quality standards.
• Drive professional growth and development to maximize staff contribution and effectively meet business needs.
• Analyze applications to ensure they satisfy business needs and specifications.

• Hands‑on Java expertise, Modern language features, and best practices for enterprise UI applications supporting MDM master data maintenance.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, Angular, RESTful APIs, dependency injection, security patterns, and testing practices.
• Mastery of SDLC disciplines and quality practices: design reviews, code reviews, automated testing, release readiness.
• Hands‑on understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices; ability to guide teams on build/deploy reliability.
• Proficiency with git workflows, branching strategies, and standard-setting for team scalability and production safety.
• Proven leadership in solution architecture, design decisions, and effective communication of trade‑offs.
• University or college degree with 5+ years of industry‑relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
• At least 3 years of prior management experience.

Locations:
Cleveland, Strongsville, or Pittsburgh.

Base Salary: $96,250.00 – $ (varies by location, market data, skills, experience, and education). This role is incentive eligible based on company, business, and/or individual performance.
