Accounting Manager

Dedicated to the ocean industry worldwide, it services the offshore oil & gas, submarine telecom, and scientific markets as well as Federal, State, and local governments.

The Accounting Manager position is responsible for meeting deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities across the Parent and Multiple Subsidiary companies. The position requires excellent time management skills and strong computer skills, including knowledge of various accounting software.

Responsibilities and

Essential Functions:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, job reconciliation, and taxes.
• Month end reconciliation for key balance sheet accounts.
• Provide monthly reporting for job cost, sales and use tax, and depreciation.
• Assist CFO with finalizing monthly financial statements.
• Supervise accounting staff.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve accounting issues when needed.

Qualifications for Accounting Manager

• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience with consolidated company and inter-company accounting practices.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Must be results-oriented and be able to juggle multiple priorities with limited supervision.
• Must have a demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
