Editorial Content Specialist

The ideal candidate possesses excellent writing, editing and communication skills and is comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Top candidates must display a solid understanding of the ocean and offshore industries and the associated target audiences.

This is a full-time position located at our office in Stuart, FL. The position begins on October 17, 2022.

Responsibilities:

• Development of an editorial calendar and content ideas in collaboration with the editorial, marketing, and sales team
• Identify, recruit and communicate with industry collaborators and guest editors
• Manage and curate stories daily for online publishing
• Proofread and edit submitted articles to meet publication standards
• Work closely with graphic designers and digital content coordinator to meet production deadlines
• Comply with media law and industry regulations
• Actively participate in meetings to support sales and advertising efforts
• Actively raise the profile of the company
• Help to strategize new content and sales opportunities
• Attend industry events to seek new content opportunities, and to maintain and develop client relationships

Requirements:

• Demonstratable experience in producing relevant content to target audience
• Experience in ocean science and/or offshore energy required
• Strong writing, editing and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to grow relationships with editorial advisory board
• Ability to work under pressure and meet short and inflexible deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
