Surgery - Thoracic Physician Assistant

Inpatient CT Surgery APP Locums Job November - February Winter Coverage Just Outside West Palm Beach, Florida EVH Required

Located just outside of West Palm Beach, one of Jackson & Coker's valued clients is seeking a full-time Cardiothoracic Surgery NP or PA to provide coverage while two of their providers are on planned leaves of absence.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected cardiac surgery team in one of the nation's premier coastal communities. Transition from 2026 to 2027 with a consistent work schedule while spending the winter months in sunny South Florida & supporting a well-established program from November through February. The team is looking for a skilled, collaborative provider who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care while helping ensure continuity of services for the community.

Coverage need:
Seeking full-time inpatient weekday coverage & 1-2 weekends of call coverage per month
Coverage starts in early November 2026 & will go through February 2027
Work Monday-Friday in the hospital from 6:30AM - 3:30PM, cover approximately 10 days of night call & weekend 24-hour call coverage
Night call is from 7PM - 7AM, weekends are 7PM on Friday - 7AM Monday

Details/Requirements:
- Active FL medical license & DEA (open to considering candidates who qualify for expedited licensure)
- CT Surgery 1st assist experience & be able to provide recent case logs for credentialing
- Must be able to proficiently vein harvest (Maquet EVH System is what the facility uses)
- ICU experience & be comfort rounding on CVICU + telemetry patients
- Seeking Actively Board Certified providers; PA-C and/or AGACNP
- 100% inpatient work, no clinic / outpatient coverage needed
- Average of 20-30 surgeries per month, 75% are CABG + 25% are 'other,' such as valve & aortic surgeries
- Service line sees approximately 20 PPD
- Will work with 3 surgeons;
Will have a minimum of 4 providers on site per shift
- Facility Detail: not a designated trauma center, 220+ beds, Epic EMR
