Position Summary
The Chiropractor is responsible for providing high-quality chiropractic care and wellness services to patients while supporting the overall clinical, operational, and growth objectives of the practice. The Chiropractor will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide chiropractic adjustments and therapeutic services, educate patients on wellness and preventive care, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
The ideal candidate is patient-focused, professional, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a collaborative wellness environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Perform comprehensive chiropractic evaluations, examinations, and consultations.
- Obtain and review patient medical histories and relevant clinical information.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
- Perform chiropractic adjustments and manipulations within the scope of Florida licensure.
- Provide appropriate soft-tissue, mobility, stretching, and therapeutic techniques as permitted by licensure and practice protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans when clinically appropriate.
- Educate patients regarding treatment plans, home-care recommendations, posture, mobility, exercise, and general wellness.
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients and answer questions regarding their care.
- Recognize conditions requiring referral to another healthcare provider and make appropriate referrals.
- Create a positive, professional, and welcoming patient experience.
- Establish strong relationships with patients and encourage adherence to appropriate treatment plans.
- Educate patients on available wellness services that may complement their chiropractic care.
- Participate in patient follow-up and retention initiatives.
- Maintain professional boundaries and comply with all applicable healthcare regulations and Company policies.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely patient records.
- Document examinations, treatments, progress notes, care plans, and other required clinical information.
- Follow HIPAA, OSHA, Florida Board of Chiropractic Medicine requirements, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Follow Company policies, clinical protocols, safety procedures, and documentation standards.
- Maintain an active and unrestricted Florida chiropractic license.
- Maintain required continuing education and professional credentials.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, therapists, trainers, wellness staff, front-desk personnel, and management.
- Participate in team meetings and clinical discussions.
- Communicate patient needs and concerns appropriately with other members of the care team.
- Support a professional and positive workplace culture.
- Assist with the development and implementation of wellness programs and patient education initiatives.
- Support the growth of the chiropractic program through excellent patient care and service.
- Participate in approved community outreach, educational events, and promotional activities.
- Assist with educational content, videos, social media, or other marketing initiatives when requested.
- Help educate prospective patients about chiropractic and wellness services without engaging in inappropriate or misleading sales practices.
- Work toward established patient volume, retention, documentation, and productivity expectations.
The Chiropractor is expected to:
- Maintain consistent patient care and productivity.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Maintain excellent patient satisfaction and professionalism.
- Follow scheduled work hours and accurately record all time worked.
- Remain actively engaged in assigned responsibilities during scheduled working hours.
- Meet established clinical and operational KPIs.
- Maintain compliance with all Company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
- Contribute positively to the overall success and growth of the practice.
Required
- Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree from an accredited chiropractic college.
- Current, active, and unrestricted Florida chiropractic license.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required certifications or credentials.
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to patient care.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary wellness, medical, sports performance, rehabilitation, or functional health environment.
