American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a short-term acute care hospital, requiring 18 months of cardiac cath lab experience and ACLS/BLS certification.

• Short term acute care hospital setting within the Cath Lab Tech unit
• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab work
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call required
• Will float within scope to meet facility needs, including floating to 2 sister hospitals within 20 miles
• EPIC charting system used
• Ceil blue scrub color required

• Minimum of 18 months of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, 2 years preferred
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• ARRT-R certification required
• CCI RCIS certification preferred
• Certified or Registered Cardiovascular Tech (RCVT) preferred
• License required if applicable
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures including cardiac implant closure devices, stent placement, left and right heart catheterization, IABP placement/removal, PCI, PTCA, and rotablator atherectomy
• Skilled in equipment set up, scrubbing/maintaining sterile field, and room circulator duties
• Able to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and interpret dysrhythmias
• Experience with adult and older adult patient populations
• No pending licenses or certifications accepted

• First-time travelers will be considered
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
• All RTO must be submitted and discussed at time of interview/submission; RTO added later will likely not be approved
• Travelers expected to work every other holiday
• Permanent and per diem staff cannot return to this facility for 1 year from their previous end date
• Facility is smoke free; all travelers must be nicotine free with a negative 10 panel plus nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required, with medical/religious exemptions only
• EKG and pharmacology testing required during orientation, with a maximum of 2 attempts and no remediation
• Time-sensitive onboarding modules must be prioritized immediately once confirmed for the assignment
• Background check hits are reviewed by the facility, but open cases or any hits on a professional license are not accepted
