Job Summary
As the Stockroom Attendant, you'll maintain accurate inventory and status information to ensure materials flow efficiently between the stockroom and production areas. This role includes tracking and updating stock levels, organizing materials, and optimizing storage methods for safety and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of materials & supplies. Perform annual inventory and periodic cycle counts. Order products as needed.
- Inspection: Compare shipments against bills of lading, packing lists, invoices, orders, or other records. Reject any damaged items.
- Stockroom Organization: Maintain a clean stockroom area. Complete charge slips and record in inventory system.
- Reporting: Note out-of-stock items to Purchasing team. Record any item shortages and report issues to Purchasing Manager. Performs other related duties as necessary and assigned.
- Experience: One (1) to two (2) years of experience in a stockroom, parts, or warehouse manufacturing environment.
- Certifications: Must hold a valid driver's license.
- Pre-Employment: All applicants must be able to successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment.
- Familiar with inventory management systems and cycle counting.
- Knowledge of fundamental math and computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Prior experience in a marina or marine environment preferred.
