Assembly Mechanic

Job Description

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is actively seeking Aircraft Assemblers with 3+ years of heavy structures experience for a long-term contract assignment in Stuart, FL.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Works from drawings, blueprints manufacturing specifications and procedures, quality procedures and instructions.
• Inspects for proper installations and integrity.
• Performs a variety of structural assembly and fastener operations.
• Inspects for proper fastener installation and edge distance requirements.
• Performs fitting and rework operations.
• Maintains necessary documentation and records

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in aircraft structural assembly in an aero structures Manufacturing or MRO environment.
• High School Diploma or Accredited GED (Must provide proof of HS or GED if offered a position).
• Must be willing to work any shift (day/night), weekends and overtime if required.
• Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.

Requirements

• Local contractors must take/pass Fastener Plate Test prior to approval.
• Non-Local contractors must pass Fastener Plate Test on their reporting date
• Must have 3+ years related structural/sheet metal experience
• Must be able to work any shift - shift assignments given in orientation
• All persons working on the shop floor must have hard-toe safety shoes, safety glasses and hearing protection (Daher has hearing protection available and provided at no cost).
• Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.
