Position Overview:
Inventory Control Associate is responsible for performing routine inventory control, material handling, and warehouse tasks to support daily operations. This role includes receiving, storing, moving, and staging materials accurately and safely while following established procedures and safety guidelines. The Inventory Control I position also performs inventory cycle counts, verifies inventory accuracy, investigates variances, and maintains accurate inventory records within the system.
The Inventory Control I works closely with team members, leads, and supervisors to ensure materials are accurately tracked and available to meet production and delivery requirements in a timely and efficient manner.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in material handling, logistics, or warehouse operations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles and stock management processes.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with inventory systems and/or barcode scanners.
- Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S principles.
Working Conditions:
- While performing duties of the job, incumbent is required to stand for full shift; walk; sit; use hand to finger handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Non-A/C work area; the noise level can periodically be higher than normal, hearing protection may be required
The anticipated pay range for this position is $18.00 - $26.11, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
