Production Coordinator

As the Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for checking the ERP system for new Bill of Materials (BOM), conducting quality checks, and creating Work Orders (WOs) along with assembly documentation. You'll coordinate with the inventory team, purchasing team, and production manager to ensure smooth production runs and manage schedules for timely deliveries. Monitoring the progress of WOs in the shop will help you address any delays;

while tracking the quality and accuracy of orders ensures they meet customer requirements. You'll also maintain production records and documentation, uphold quality control measures (OQE), and update the ERP system with relevant information at the end of the day.

Position Overview
  • Coordinate the day-to-day logistics and administrative production tasks like Work Orders, assembly and test procedures and drawings preparation for the technicians.
  • Manage the data and data flow between Engineering and Production, performing QC on the data and correcting errors, to ensure engineering BOMs and engineering assembly procedures become into accurate manufacturing BOMs and Work Orders in the ERP.
  • Ensure assembly DWGs generated by engineering are aligned with BOMs and other documents before hitting the shop floor. Correcting them when necessary.
  • Organizes the production process by preparing schedules, monitoring workflow, tracking production progress
  • Act as the central point of contact, ensuring communication flows smoothly between departments to keep the build on schedule and within budget.
  • Ensure traceability records and OQEs are prepared during the manufacturing process and saved.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create and manage production schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of work orders.
  • Oversee and expedite the flow of work to meet delivery schedules.
  • Act as a liaison between production, purchasing, inventory, to keep everyone informed and address issues.
  • Track production progress and project completion, ensuring that quality standards are met and customer commitments are fulfilled.
  • Identify and resolve operational problems that may hinder the completion of projects or affect delivery schedules.
  • Perform relevant ERP system tasks and maintain internal record-keeping
  • Oversee production assemblies and tests ensuring procedures are followed
  • Communicate with departments with any questions or discrepancies
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks in the shop.
  • Perform general duties and assist in production as required
  • Work with the inventory coordinator to ensure the correct kitted parts are combined with the correct documentation and handed to the technician responsible for it
  • Perform relevant ERP system tasks and maintain internal record-keeping
Required Skills & Experience
  • Post-secondary education, such as a college diploma, in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field
  • 2 years of experience in a similar position and have sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with production workflows and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, such as 5S and Kaizen, is a plus
  • Good eye for detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • ERP experience in production modules (BOM and WO management)
  • Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel

Salary range: $29.00 To $36.00 Hourly
