Shipping And Logistics Specialist
CSA's operations department owns, operates, and maintains various vessels, trucks, and specialized marine equipment which is utilized worldwide.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping and Logistics Specialist to manage the movement of equipment from our facilities to and from our field projects. This role requires a strong understanding of domestic and international shipping regulations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. This is a Full-Time position, typically Monday-Friday, as well as off hours work during busy times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, coordinating, and tracking all inbound and outbound shipments.
- Selecting and negotiating with carriers to secure the best rates and delivery terms.
- Preparing and processing shipping documents, customs declarations, and related paperwork.
- Ensuring compliance with international, federal, and local shipping regulations.
- Monitoring shipments in real time and resolving any transit or delivery issues.
- Maintaining accurate records of shipments, freight costs, and inventory movements.
- Collaborating with sales, operations, and science teams to optimize logistics efficiency.
- Identifying opportunities to improve shipping processes and reduce costs.
- Equipment tracking and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications include:
- Proven experience in shipping, logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations and documentation.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in shipping software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Experience with import/export compliance and customs brokerage.
