Banking Associate
Location:
Sturbridge, Massachusetts, USA
Hours:
40 per week
Pay: $22.00 - $27.75 USD per hour
Responsibilities- Process customer transactions on teller line and platform
- Open new personal deposit accounts, close accounts, and handle everyday bank transactions
- Treat debit card, credit card issues, regulation E, mobile and online banking transactions
- Assess customer needs and provide consultative financial advice and product recommendations
- Educate customers on TD banking products, services and tools to support financial goals
- Refer or promote appropriate products or services to customers or internal partners while maintaining a positive customer experience
- Manage self‑generated leads and partner/retail referral leads, conduct outbound calls and SMS, schedule or host appointments and prioritize leads
- Establish and maintain customer relationships, serve as the first point of contact for inquiries, orchestrate walk‑in traffic and resolve issues or schedule expert appointments
- Understand and adhere to compliance, risk and control programs, complete required job‑specific and compliance‑related training
- Maintain records of action plans, audit and regulator responses, and compliance documentation
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience (volunteer, education, military or other) preferred
- Preferred teller experience and completion of Teller training and Part1 of platform training upon hire
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent communication, concise, clear, and consistent communication skills
- Demonstrated problem‑solving and effective decision‑making skills
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and schedule work
- Sound judgment, adherence to TD Code of Conduct, and compliance with Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act
- Notary license preferred
- Must be available to work scheduled evenings, weekends and holidays
- Occasional lifting/carrying under 25lb. and over 25lb.
- Occasional pushing, pulling, twisting, reaching, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, squatting
- Continuous use of office equipment, computer, and standard light and office bells
- Continuous reading, writing, comprehending instructions, and performing basic math
- Continuous applying common sense to standard situations, maintaining a safe environment in confined spaces
- Continuous responding to sounds and concentrate for long periods
